My first PUB! :)

If you've got your hands on the Winter edition of Canadian Scrapbooker, you'll find my very first ever published Layout on page 136!

I ran all over the city today to find a copy and finally found on at My LSS called Scrappers Anonymous. The girl was so cute, she took my picture with my page and said she was going to put it on their blog, you can check out the blog post here!(please excuse my picture...lol) I have to admit, it was pretty exciting for me, I did a little jig when I saw it.
First pubs are quite exhilarating!

K, this ends my little toot. Proceed on with your day :)

My very own challenge at...

Let's Scrap is underway today...I'm excited about this one cuz it again incorporates a card, and a christmas card at that! I'm well on my way to getting my cards done(lol maybe in my mind, I've done 4) But this is helping me trudge on, soon my favorite radio station will be playing 24 hour Christmas carols and I'll be able to work more efficiently hehe.
Anyways, here's the criteria for this weeks challenge...

1)Use a Let's Scrap Sketch(any of them!)
2)Use ribbon
3)use red and cream somewhere in your card

Easy peasy right? And after you do this...upload to the Let's Scrap site under Challenge #25 and you could win some goodies from moi!

Here's the Let's Scrap card sketch I used....

Here's my card...

Today on Let's Scrap!

There's a card sketch challenge going on, and if you play along, you could win something fantabulous from Apron Strings!

I'm attempting to make a few Christmas Cards this year. I didn't make them last year. I chickened out and ended up sending store bought, but I think I'll make a few this year for family and friends...

This is this weeks sketch....

and this is my design....
****products used-Bo Bunny tis the season Patterned Papers, American Crafts tinsel foil thickers-cricket.

I gotta admit, I found this sketch pretty challenging, but I forged through and I'm happy with the patchwork style result. Can't wait to see what YOU create...and stay tuned, it's my turn to host a challenge this friday at let's scrap!

Raindrops on Roses....Thursdays Things...

Which totally need a new name, because I NEVER post on thursday anymore, so anyone have any new ideas for what I can call this random list of things that I spuratically post once in a blue moon, but think about nonstop? *sigh*

Ok, I can feel the chill in the air, the malls are starting to be impossible to get near on the weekend and some of my very favorite things have started popping up all around the town...

Like.....

1) Holiday Drinks at Starbucks...

I started as a Gingerbread Latte kind of gal, then I used to be a strict Peppermint Mocha girl, but I think I OD'ed on those last year so I have a new addiction to the new Caramel Brule...um, YUM!?!?!?! And those crunchy, yumness they put on top of the whip cream(which I NEVER get of course) Ahhh Holiday Heaven!!!!

2) Winter Candy Apple from Bath and Body Works-

Well, it's heavenly. I think I've already talked about it here...so I won't go on and on, but I will say they're in adorable cute plaid bottles this year...YAH YAH YAH!

3) Holiday Peeps-

Really, I love them at Easter, and now I can enjoy them at Christmas too. I love this adorable garland idea, but I'm afraid I would be sitting in front of the tree, slowly devouring the garland!

4) Bing Crosby-

He's crooning at the mall, in my car, at the grocery store...well, maybe not all those places yet, but I'vee pulled out the CD and it's waiting...ready...to play it's holiday magic. No Christmas is complete to me without my Bing!

5) Mall Christmas Deocrations-

Nothing quite like 5 ft wreaths, with gigantic bows, oversized gingerbread men and a giant little christmas house to visit Santa in...PLUS one of our malls snows inside at a certain time every night(which is a big deal for us, since we don't get much REAL snow).

How many seconds hours minutes...

until New Moon comes out?

Team Edward -
Who's afraid of the BIG Bad Wolf? Not Edward! If you choose to be a Vampire girl than you will need to completly dazzle me. As a Vampire, Edward's skin sparkles in the sunlight. Yes, real men sparkle! So, dig out your bling-bling and use it!

Don't stop there! If you chose Edward you also need to use the colors Black and Red. It doesn't have to be all black and red. Just as long as there is some black and red on your paper creation (even in the tiniest bit) then you are all good to go!

Team Jacob -
Prefer half-naked guys instead? If you choose to run with the Wolves then you will need to include a heart because Jacob has one.

Reminder: If you see a wolf running around your house, don't shoot at it!

You will also need to use the colors brown and white.

Trot on over to CSD to get the full rundown!

I choose Team Edward(duh) and this is what I came up with...

Color Me Miki is the sponsor for this challenge and it's a beauuuuutiful Bewitching kit.

On another note, I'm sorry I'm totally a neglectful blog friend, which is really not me...but I was away for a few days for personal reasons...and now I'm back so I promise to be a little more "present" :)
